Families who are travelling abroad over the Summer holidays need to ensure that children are ready to return to school for the beginning of the Autumn term (September). School attendance is mandatory and failure to return at the start of term will result in a Penalty Notice Fine. If you are booking a holiday abroad, it is your responsibility to ensure you have checked that particular country’s Covid regulations as well as UK Covid regulations around return from the country you are travelling back from.
Please note, any children who have travelled to red list countries, families will need to consider whether they can manage any financial obligation caused by the requirement to hotel quarantine, as financial hardship cannot be accepted as a reason not to be at school. Any quarantine/isolation that needs to be done will need to be completed before the beginning of the Autumn term. Children on leave in term time will no longer be offered remote learning and absence will be unauthorised, with parents liable to Penalty Notice fines.
