Covid vaccinations

Walk-in vaccination now available

Many vaccine clinics in Tower Hamlets are run below capacity, so it is easy to get a vaccine appointment or simply walk in without having to queue.

In this third wave, it is critical and urgent that we work as a community to get as many adults vaccinated as possible, especially younger adults.

All adults aged 18 or over can now get vaccinated against Covid-19. Walk in vaccine clinics are now open for first vaccine doses in the borough and more information is available on the Tower Hamlets website here.

If you are under 40 or pregnant, you will be offered the Pfizer vaccine unless there is clinical reason not to have it. The Covid-19 vaccine is safe and effective and it gives people the best protection against Covid-19.

Covid-19 vaccines currently available are given in two doses. You usually have the second dose 8 to 12 weeks after the first dose. You should have the same vaccine for both doses, unless you had serious side effects (such as a serious allergic reaction) after your first dose.

Please remember that it remains important that we all follow the national public health guidance: wash your hands regularly, wear a face covering in enclosed spaces and maintain safe social distancing. Rates of transmission of the virus remain high so please stay safe and get your vaccines NOW!
