Governors

Our governors meet twice a term to discuss and make strategic decisions to ensure the continuing success of the school.

They oversee the school’s organisation, curriculum and budget. The governing body is made up of representatives of the parents, school staff, the local authority and the local community. Parent-governor elections are held when a vacancy arises.

    About Me:

    My name is Kenny Frederick and I have been a governor at Arnhem Wharf for nearly twenty years. I joined the governing body not long after the school opened therefore, I know the school well and am very committed to doing what I can to support the school in its work.

    I was headteacher of George Green's School for seventeen years until I retired in 2013 so I know and love the Isle of Dogs very well! I now work as an Education Consultant and I have also become a student again and am about to complete my PhD by December 2017 or soon afterwards.

    My name is Rachel Williams. I have lived in London since 2012 and have been a qualified Solicitor since March 2019. I have been a co-opted governor at Arnhem Wharf Primary School since July 2021 and am proud to be able to give back to the local community through this role. I am enthusiastic about widening access to the legal profession and firmly believe in the importance of education as part of this.

    My name is Kemal Suffee and I studied law at Oxford University before becoming a commercial solicitor. I’ve worked for over 19 years in top international law firms and companies and I live locally with my wife. I’m excited to be working with the other Governors and staff to ensure Arnhem Wharf Primary School is a well-run organisation providing a well-rounded education for all pupils.
